General Description: Oversee all Information Technology (IT) and general operations functions in the organization. To direct the work of the IT and Operations and Facilities teams and be responsible for the implementation of new IT systems and policies as well as facilities and operations processes.

Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills are required for this position. The person in this position must be able to communicate effectively with the clients, staff, and others; and contribute to a positive environment.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide leadership and strategic oversight in the management of staff and operational resources ensuring successful delivery of IT, Operations and facilities services. • Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to compliance needs and best practice. • Provide oversight and leadership for disaster recovery activities for monitoring and automation. • Provide technical direction and approve standards for the organization. • Maintain knowledge of best practices for the IT and Operations team. • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management. • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs. • Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software. • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency. • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management. • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members or peers; ensure collaboration and alignment between IT and business teams. • Communicate to Senior Leadership on major incidents and outages. • Coordinate with IT, Operations and Facilities team members to provide guidance. • Responsible for the purchasing and oversight of general office and breakroom supplies • Responsible for planning and implementation of capital acquisitions. • Maintain vendor relationships to provide support for our facilities, IT and operation’s needs. • Ensure that Mazzoni Center Properties are well maintained, safe and secure. • Coordinate major repairs with external contractors and facilities and operations manager. • Maintain a schedule of routine maintenance and safety inspections of the building equipment and systems. • Responsible for budget development and adherence

Education, Training, License and Certification, Skills and Experience: • Proven experience as IT director or similar role. • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications. • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc. • Experience in controlling information technology budget. • Excellent organizational and leadership skills. • Outstanding communication abilities • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus. • Ability to work with diverse populations.

Clearances: Background checks are required, including Criminal Background Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time

The ability to lift objects greater than 35 pounds

Ability to lift in excess of 35 pounds with assistance.

The ability to communicate using written and spoken words

Must demonstrate visual and auditory acuity

Must have all necessary vaccinations

Annual flu shot and PPD
