Job Summary:

The Engagement Manager shall be an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who will collaborate closely with internal teams and volunteers, as well as maintaining relations with external partners, donors, clients, tenants, and the wider community. This project management role will be responsible for the stewardship of our internal and external resources, ultimately supporting the overarching goals and objectives of Judson Memorial Church.

Space Use Coordination:

  • Client Relations
    • Serve as the primary contact coordinating and overseeing the rental process for large meeting spaces, office facilities and a residential apartment.
    • Address inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, fostering positive relationships with clients, tenants and partners to ensure satisfaction and returning rentals.
  • Rental Management
    • Draft, review, and execute rental agreements ensuring compliance with legal and organizational guidelines.
    • Ensure efficient scheduling and utilization of available spaces in collaboration
      with internal teams to prioritize and allocate spaces based on organizational
      needs and mission.
    • Generate reports on space utilization, revenue, and other relevant metrics.
  • Market Analysis
    • Research and analyze market trends to determine competitive pricing for rental spaces, and regularly update market rate metrics to inform pricing strategies.
    • Identify opportunities for revenue growth by exploring untapped markets.

Funding Coordination:

  • Grant Management:
    • Research, identify, and apply for relevant grants to support the church's
      missions, programs, and operations.
    • Assist with the development of a comprehensive grant roadmap, ensuring
      institutional sustainability and vitality.
  • Fundraising Campaigns:
    • Coordinate with the fundraising and pledge committees to plan, organize, and execute fundraising campaigns that engage the community and donors.
    • Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling fundraising
      materials.
  • Donor Relations:
    • Organize donor appreciation events and engagement activities, to cultivate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors.
    • Acknowledge donations promptly and ensure accurate donor records are
      maintained.

Outreach Coordination:

  • Community Relations
    • Oversee mail lists and exploring interest groups.
    • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media
      channels to maintain positive interactions.
    • Coordinate outreach initiatives to engage with the community and attract new members.
  • Communications
    • Assist in writing outgoing correspondence, maintaining a professional and
      consistent voice, ensuring timely and targeted communication with our
      congregation and partners.
    • Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant content and share updates
      about Judson's activities, events, and initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Successful independent project management, characterized by organized attention to detail, task prioritization, and time management skills, ensuring the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong ability to form an analysis based on data, identify challenges, and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong aptitude for technology and computer proficiency, with a keen understanding of systems for efficient and effective operations
  • Demonstrated initiative and proactiveness in learning, anticipating needs and taking appropriate actions beyond the scope of the job description within reason.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating seamlessly with diverse teams and volunteers and external stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • CFRE certification, or proven experience in operations management or grant writing, preferably within a non-profit or religious organization.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgetary oversight skills.
