Responsibilities

  • Record all revenue and expenditures in Quickbooks.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing,
    payment tracking, and vendor communication.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Execute payroll processing, including calculating wages, and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with
    relevant regulations.
  • Record donations in Breeze (online church management software)
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies and streamline
    processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure
    compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations is a plus.
  • CPA certification or eligibility is advantageous but not required.

Reporting

  • Work facilitated by the Director of Finance and Administration

Compensation: $35 per hour
