Location: Fully remote! Work from anywhere in the U.S.

The Opportunity: The primary purpose of this role is to help increase
contribution and ensure an ongoing pipeline of new talent understands how to
contribute to Drupal and provide support for specific areas of Drupal
Community Health. The role liaises with Drupal Project Initiative Leads to
understand the project needs, while ensuring individuals new to the community
are welcomed and onboarded to contribution.

Responsibilities:

Contribution Enablement
The Community Contribution Coordinator enables and organizes the
“people”side of accelerating contribution through the combination of
documentation, workshops, and communication.
- Create contribution onboarding and resources on drupal.org including
updating and maintaining the Contributor Guide
- Facilitate succession planning in collaboration with leaders in the
community
- Lead the planning of contributions events at DrupalCon
- Create and implement “new to Drupal” documentation and webinars
utilizing approved Drupal Association branding
- Build out resources and organize webinar for new contributors
- Collaboration and outreach to other open source communities and places
where potential Drupal talent exists and encourage them to learn about
contributing to Drupal
- Provide Contribution updates and information to community through blog
submissions utilizing Drupal Association communications processes
- Facilitate the DrupalCon mentor program in collaboration with the Events +
Engagement Manager
- Facilitate participation in programs that bring students/youth into Drupal
with a lens on contribution
- Identify and propose opportunities to speak about contribution at camps or
other events
- Collaborate with the DA engineering team and mentoring leads to enhance
contribution tools and processes as needed
- Help determine staff procedure and process for DA related contribution -
ensure the DA team is registering their contributions
- Own responsibility for giving contribution credit for DrupalCon

Community Health
- Provide content for Drupal Association communications staff regarding
Drupal events and community news
- Propose and develop ways for the Drupal Association to celebrate
contribution
- Organize Trivia Night Coordinators volunteer program at DrupalCon North
America
- Support volunteer management efforts by the Events + Engagement Manager to
fill key event contribution roles
- Facilitate the Board Community Election in collaboration with staff
involved in communication and ballot system management
- Organize DA Board Community chats 1x per quarter in collaboration with the
Board Community Committee and Events + Engagement Manager

Candidate qualities:
- Past experience coaching or mentoring in a workplace setting
- Comfort working with directly with individuals in leadership roles (such as
the founder of Drupal)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Experience with developing and delivering communication strategies
- A people person that leads with kindness
- Acts as a representative of the organization in all Drupal-related
communications or public speaking arrangements utilizing approved tools,
voice and tone
- Works within the systems of the organization to deliver work and make
decisions, consulting with appropriate teammates where relevant
- Avoids making singular decisions without consulting the larger team and is
highly collaborative, particularly when facilitating a project
- Is pointedly-focused on the outcomes related to the role and checks in with
supervisor or other key members about unrelated tasks
- Uses a timeline and deliverables approach, engaging teammates of needs
proactively and well in advance of deadlines
- A commitment to and understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as a
practice
