At Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia (“HFHP”), we are builders driven by accountability who work alongside, not for others and are defined by our stick-to-itiveness. HFHP is seeking a Corporate Relations Manager to join our Resource Development team. The Corporate Relations Manager will focus on cultivation, relationship management and stewardship of corporate and faith partnerships. The Corporate Relations Manager will be a frontline fundraiser, grow overall corporate giving, and manage benefit fulfillment. As part of those goals, the Corporate Relations Manager will need to take an active role in fundraising events and the collaborative development of sponsorship recognition. Additional responsibilities include prospect research, donor communications, preparation and follow-up for donor meetings, and general stewardship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate accounts and prospects, working to steward relationships and secure continued support for HFHP programs.
  • Ensure benefit fulfillment and stewardship activity for all corporate and faith accounts; provides effect coordination, including team builds, site visits and events.
  • Identify prospects in the corporate, faith, and campus chapter sectors and cultivate relationships with the goal to grow philanthropy and engagement
  • Employ strategies to increase sponsorship support; seek opportunities for annual or multi-year levels of giving.
  • Participate in events and networking opportunities to grow awareness about HFHP’s mission and elevate partnership opportunities.
  • Works with resource development staff to ensure appropriate stewardship of gifts, and leverage volunteer engagement to strengthen donor relationships.
  • Supports overall resource development team strategy to build on the culture of philanthropy at HFHP.
  • Maintain and ensure accurate, up-to-date information on partnership records and maintain accurate information in the donor database.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of major Habitat Philadelphia events as needed.

General Activities:

  • Support the development of annual department objectives.
  • Work in a team environment on department activities and initiatives with a positive attitude.
  • Attend and assist with organizing events and outreach activities.
  • Track and follow-up on prospects and partnerships in conjunction with resource development staff, and HFHP leadership.
  • Respond to inquiries from donors and funders; assists with meeting materials, including pre-meeting research and presentation collateral.
  • Be a knowledgeable and confident representative of HFHP's mission and community work.

Required Background, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Commitment to affordable housing and a desire to advance HFHP’s mission.
  • 3-5+ years experience in corporate development or related professional setting, preferably with experience in fundraising or a nonprofit environment.
  • Excellent project management skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Strong planning skills, including the ability to anticipate tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines and function smoothly under strict deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills. Excellent verbal communications skills with the ability to make dynamic group presentations.
  • High-level computer literacy, internet, and portfolio management; experience with donor databases, ideally Salesforce is preferred.
  • Strong team player who also works well independently.
  • The capacity to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with donors, volunteers, committee members, and staff.
  • Full-time, flexible hours. Some weekday evenings and weekends required
  • Attending meetings with supervisor, resource development, and organizational meetings
  • Travel to and from meetings and events in locations and times when public transit might not be available.
