The Federation of Neighborhood Centers (FNC Philly) is a 116-year old
Philadelphia nonprofit agency. We are a small but thriving organization
located in South Philadelphia. We provide youth programming, parenting
training, urban farming, and we provide fiscal sponsorship services.
While this is a fiscal management position, we are not requiring a degree in
accounting, but are looking for more experience and understanding of basic
accounting and bookkeeping. We operate several projects of our own as well as
oversee 50+ projects through our fiscal sponsorships. We are seeking someone
who can work flexible hours, can manage several tasks simultaneously, and is
meticulous in accurate and thorough record-keeping.
Responsibilities
The main role of the person in this position is to assist the Chief Financial
Officer with the day to day management of the finances of the agency and its
projects. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Vendor payment processing and recording
- Payroll preparation
- Creating monthly partner financial reports
- Participate in onboarding process for new fiscal sponsorships
- Assist youth programs in youth payroll preparation and record-keeping
- Assist with any funder reports
- Assist in the creation of project budgets

Desired Experience & Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in the nonprofit business world as an employee or volunteer
- BA or BS degree preferred
- Customer Service experience
