Wilma Theater

The Wilma Theater seeks a Lead House Manager.

The Wilma Theater creates living, adventurous art, presenting bold, original,
well-crafted, thought-provoking productions that represent a range of voices,

The Lead House Manager will contribute meaningfully to the organizational
culture of the Wilma and will advocate to advance our values on an
organizational, local, and national scale. This person will take part in
cross-departmental work, company-wide EDI work and anti-bias training as we
further our commitment to being an inclusive, anti-racist organization.
Position Summary

The Lead House Manager reports to the Box Office Manager and serves as the
primary House Manager for the Wilma Theater and is responsible for providing
excellent customer service to The Wilma Theater’s guests, creating a safe,
accessible space, and other duties as described.

Responsibilities
- Acting as House Manager, including greeting and assisting customers,
scanning their tickets, and fielding customer responses, questions, and
concerns;
- Coordinating and communicating with production and stage management;
- Setting up the public spaces prior to performance, including the bathrooms,
for inventory and cleanliness;
- Proactively identifying and solving problems for customers, and other
theatre staff;
- Manage distribution of assistive listening devices;
- Assisting with ADA seating;
- Receiving training in de-escalation and CPR;
- Writing and sending post-show performance reports;
- Maintaining and troubleshooting ticket scanners;
- Training Assistant House Management and Ushers prior to audience arrival;
- Coordinating with Good Karma Café staff;
- Assisting Box Office Ticket sales by phone, mail, and in person;
- Assisting with Tessitura Database entry and up-keep;
- Assisting Marketing Department with outreach initiatives by phone, mail,
and email;
- Assisting Marketing Departments with other tasks as assigned

Position Qualifications
The ideal candidate is proficient in remote-work software and systems, with
the ability to learn our CRM (Tessitura), Microsoft 365, and project
management and video conference tools.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a regular part-time, non-exempt role with compensation of $17/hour.

and parking discounts at the Double Tree Hotel parking facility.

Hybrid Work Environment
Due to Covid-19, much of the Wilma administrative staff is conducted in a
hybrid environment of remote and in-person work, dependent upon role function
and responsibilities.  In consultation with your supervisor, it may be
determined that some administrative aspects of your role may be performed
remotely.
Some night and weekend work will be required.

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy
The Wilma Theater requires all employees, whose work requires their physical
presence on-site at spaces managed and operated by The Wilma Theater, to be
fully vaccinated and up to date with the Pfizer or Moderna (bivalent) booster
for COVID-19. Being “fully vaccinated” and “up to date” means that an
individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized
COVID-19 vaccine and booster regimen.

In order to be qualified for employment at the Wilma Theater, final
candidates must comply with the vaccination requirement or receive an
approved exemption. Exceptions to this policy include:
1. Employees who do not report to a workplace where other individuals (such
as coworkers or customers) are present
2. Employees who are working exclusively from home/remote environment
3. Employees who have a documented and approved medical or religious
exemption.
