Part Time Baking Position
Crust Vegan Bakery
Seeking part-time baker for 24 hours/week with availability for a consistent
schedule of 7AM-3PM of every Thursday and Sunday. There is some flexibility
for the third shift of the week based on employee preference and need.
Crust is a specialty, vegan bakery in the NW Philadelphia neighborhood of
Manayunk. Our business has a new retail storefront on Main St, however this
position would be based out of our commercial kitchen located just down the
street on Krams Ave where we do the majority of our wholesale baking.
Given that we are such a small & rapidly growing business, the person hired
will have the opportunity to grow, have their input valued, and be able to
help shape our future. There is a strong possibility for the part time
position to grow to full time and the occasional offer of additional hours
around holidays if desired as well.
While the workload can be daunting, we try to balance that with a positive &
fun work environment.
Base pay starts at $14/hr. Tips are split equally among staff all based on
number of hours worked each week and roughly average an additional $3-6/hr.
All employees receive immediate access to a free telehealth plan, and there
is a full health insurance option available. After our 3 month probationary
new hire period, the PT employee would receive 24 hours of PTO and an
additional 40 hours of sick time. While we do not require our staff to be
vegan, since we are a kosher certified kitchen and bakery, all meals brought
to eat at work must follow kosher guidelines and therefore must be vegan.

Seeking someone with:
A positive, self-motivated attitude
Ability to follow directions, multi-task and pay attention to detail
Keeping a clean & organized work-station throughout shift
Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
Basic knowledge of food safety, a plus
Bakery/restaurant experience in a high-volume kitchen, a plus
Servsafe certified, a plus
