Ty Style, Inc. seeks a part-time Customer Service & Sales Representative. Ty Style, Inc. is a queer owned company focused on designing and manufacturing products for the LGBTQ+ communities. Ty Style’s primary brand, En Femme (www.enfemmestyle.com), is a retail ecommerce brand that designs and manufactures clothing and products focused on people assigned male at birth who identify with femininity.

We are looking for a remote-based part-time Customer Service & Sales Representative to support customer requests, order support & sales inquiries on a part-time basis, 15-20 hours per week with 50% of time allocated during business hour availability. Ty Style maintains its manufacturing and operations in Philadelphia.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and interests as well as demonstrate examples of previous experiences in the following:

  • Enjoy engaging and speaking with a diverse range of customers, helping them in a kind and supportive manner.

  • An ability to work across a diverse range of assigned male at birth (AMAB) customers and communities who are at various parts of their journey seeking clothing and products to express their femininity including those who self-identify as:

    • Gender Non-Conforming AMAB

    • Crossdressers

    • Non-binary AMAB

    • Genderqueer AMAB

    • Drag Queens

    • Transgender AMAB

    • Trans femme/Trans feminine AMAB

  • Excellent written communication skills that can respond via email and chat-based software.

  • Strong oral communication skills for customers who call in to speak directly with a representative.

  • Problem-solving with customers on sizing, making appropriate recommendations and helping answer customer queries on products. 

  • Establishing relationships with points of contact with non-profits and other organizations who purchase gender affirming products for those in need.

  • Work internally with warehouse manager on customer orders for exchanges and returns.

The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate and provide examples of:

  • Sensitivity and empathy to those who are AMAB who seek feminine clothing and products across a variety of communities.

  • Openness to diverse communities and helping them achieve their goals.

  • Working in a team environment remotely and maintaining a connection via web-based communication tools.

  • Using web-based software such as email and order entry.

Additional Requirements:
 

  • A high school diploma, GED or higher level of education (including vocational training)

  • Experience with email and computer-based software such as Google applications or MS Office

Ty Style will offer the following for the position:
 

  • An hourly rate of $20 per hour with an average of 15 hours per week

  • Full training to utilize the order, phone, chat and email applications.

  • Training on En Femme’s product line as well as other products sold on the platform

  • A company laptop (Mac) for performing all aspects of the position.

  • A monthly credit for home-based internet service
