Primary Job Responsibilities: 

  • With the Team, coordinate training opportunities that align with NJCEDV’s vision, values, and social change plan.  
  • Serve as a point of contact for NJCEDV in fielding training requests from members, partners, and the community.  
  • Serve as training support to the Team as they coordinate and/or facilitate training for Forums, individual programs, and other projects. 
  • Provide technical assistance responses regarding domestic violence and related issues to member programs and partners. 

Training Institute  

  • With Team, identify training topics based on needs of the state and identify potential presenters.  
  • Outreach to prospective trainers and develop contracts with the Education Manager in reference to those trainings.  
  • Respond to training requests with the Education Manager, coordinate the development of training materials such as manuals, handouts and presentations, and deliver a variety of in-person and online trainings on domestic violence, and related topics for DV program staff, allied professionals, and the community. 
  • Coordinate logistics for trainings in all formats (in-person/virtual/hybrid), including maintaining training schedule, registration, interpretive services, room/Zoom set up, training evaluations, etc. 
  • Serve as one of the lead liaisons between NJCEDV and any presenters, including all communication leading up to the training, be the support person the day of the training, and ensure invoices are received and payments processed.   
  • Work with Education Manager and Public Awareness Team on outreach and promotions for print, web, and social media. 
  • Serve as point of contact for advocates and partners attending trainings including providing information leading up to trainings as well as follow-up after trainings.  

 

40-hour Training  

  • Serve as point of contact for individuals participating in NJCEDV’s 40hr Training program.  
  • Communicate with programs to help enroll advocates in training, and to provide updates to programs on enrolled advocates’ progress and completion.   
  • Help users access and trouble shoot technical issues. 
  • Review training evaluations and implement needed changes to improve user experience. 
  • Work with team to evaluate and update content in the 40hr training platform.  
  • Report on number of individuals accessing and completing 40hr training.  

 

Annual Conference & Domestic Violence Specialist Certification 

  • Assist the Team in planning of annual conference.  
  • Work with Public Awareness Team on outreach and promotions.  
  • Work with Team to ensure language accessibility.  
  • Respond to general inquiries regarding the NJCEDV’s DVS Certificate program.  

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  1. Must be flexible, self-directed/self-motivated, disciplined, have strong organization skills, strong communication skills, and meticulous.  
  2. Able to work collaboratively with team members, member programs, and outside partners.  
  3. Demonstrate developing training and/or instructing adult learners concerning specific projects or processes. 
  4. Able to work well as part of a team and conduct oneself in a manner consistent with NJCEDV’s values and mission. 
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak in public forums and conduct training in-person and via video conference, and ability to transmit complex ideas to diverse audiences. 
  6. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and PowerPoint), Zoom/Zoom Rooms, Canva, TypeForm and social media platforms. 
  7. Experience using learning management systems and curriculum design software. The ability to learn about other technologies to advance the work of NJCEDV.
