WHAT YOU’LL DO
New York Magazine is seeking a versatile and ambitious Producer to join the On with Kara Swisher team, working to develop episodes and clips that reach broad audiences across platforms.
This role's multiplatform scope will include show prep: contributing to episode ideation, assisting with guest booking/logistics admin, and developing research materials for the host. Based on this close collaboration with audio producers and a keen understanding of the show's workflow and journalistic mission, the Producer will be responsible for developing weekly social video content.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in the news and tech journalism landscape, can drive ideation in social video formats, and has the ability to edit video/strong post-production skills. Experience working with host talent in podcasts or television also a plus.
This show is responsive to the news cycle and assignments can spill into evenings or weekends; staff flexibility is important to our workflow. If you're excited about the opportunity to help expand an award-winning, category-leading podcast franchise into social video, OWKS is looking for you.

- Energized by the opportunity to experiment, and iterate an audio show in a new format
- Reliable and responsive under pressure; proactively pivots when needed
