These positions are located in the United States Department of Labor (Department or DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC). OFLC provides national leadership and policy guidance to carry out the responsibilities of the Secretary of Labor under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
 

  • Functions as a program lead for the day-to-day processing of employer-filed applications, utilizing advanced knowledge of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), the prevailing wage program, and permanent and temporary non-immigrant employment based programs administered by OFLC.
  • Review, analyze, and resolve complex and controversial issues which arise out of the processing of prevailing wage determinations and foreign labor certification applications for various programs.
  • Conducts pre- and post-adjudication quality control audits on applications to ensure accuracy and consistency, and communicates feedback on the result of audits to analysts.
  • Provide technical assistance to analysts on case processing and answer questions from analysts and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and identify and develop ways to resolve problems that directly affect the accomplishment of program goals and objectives.
  • Advises managers and program officials on policies and procedures including actions to be taken to accomplish work in accordance with established requirements.
