About The Role

The Marketing & Community team is looking for a Paid Media Lead with strong hands-on experience in performance marketing, and a passion for the work we are doing to improve access to care for the trans community. If you are a Paid Media Lead with experience, read on!!

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in both the strategic and operational aspects of performance marketing, showing comfort in leveraging analytics to direct how advertising budget is deployed while also possessing the hands-on experience to implement media buying across platforms. You are a self-starter with a bias for action, and someone who approaches challenges with curiosity and humility. You have the ability to be highly strategic but also hands-on and execute the actual work. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Paid Media Lead will be joining our team of marketers, community builders, and content creators who work in a way that creates safety for themselves and others, who live with authenticity, and who take every opportunity to enable and amplify trans joy and power.

Responsibilities
-Devise and implement the paid media strategy to meet the growth targets as defined by the Director of Marketing and/or VP of Marketing
-Manage Paid Search and Paid Social Ads – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc
-Media plan and buy on key platforms (including but not limited to Google, Facebook/Instagram, and TikTok)
-Partner with colleagues in content and community functions to turn creative assets into ad units that perform
-Operate with a growth mindset, consistently testing and refining their approach while striving for greater efficiencies
-Manage media budgets with a strong eye towards efficiency and performance metrics (CAC, etc)
-Study and implement industry trends that best support Plume’s goals and KPIs
-Perform campaign and traffic analysis related to paid digital traffic and other sources / mediums and provide regular reporting on performance and KPIs.

Must-Haves
-5-7+ years of marketing experience with demonstrated success in devising paid media strategies and hands-on execution of campaigns across major advertising channels
-Experience managing 200k+ per month ad spend
-Analytical mindset to help shape, report, and improve key marketing KPIs
-Experience media planning and buying in Google ads, Facebook/Instagram, Reddit, Tumblr, and TikTok ad platforms
-Familiarity with operating a special ad category
-Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics
-Experience actively managing agency relationships
-Demonstrated knowledge of best practices around inclusive, gender-expansive language (experience communicating with the trans community is strongly preferred)
-Experience with or a willingness to operate in a scrappy remote startup environment, working on multiple projects at once with a strong sense of time management, accountability and prioritization
-Experience working with and/or deep empathy for the trans community

Nice-To-Haves
-Experience in other disciplines within marketing including but not limited to graphic design, content marketing, market research, etc.
-Experience in SEO - strategy, keyword search, competitive research, technical audits, etc.
-Prior experience working in startups, healthcare, and/or marketing agencies is valued
-Experience working with influencers and user generated content
