The Cloud Data Architect (DA) will partner with Data/BI Engineering and
upstream teams and provide deep technical subject matter expertise for
successfully designing Deem’s EDW architecture using modern data/analytics
technologies in Google Cloud and will be responsible for managing Data
Architecture and ETL Architecture & serve as a subject matter expert for
Deem’s entire data platform, and data flows end to end. DA Will work
closely with business stakeholders, data/reporting engineers, enterprise
security teams to improve the quality and value of Deem’s data and support
the strategic requirements of a data driven organization.

Responsibilities:
Lead detailed technical assessments of current state of enterprise data and
architect a path towards Deem’s new and modernized cloud data platform
Create detailed target EDW architecture covering technical, security, and
operational aspects
Partner with cross functional tech teams in incorporating modern data
technologies (batch/stream source data, Cloud ETL and Reporting tools)
Work with agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support
technical data solutions
Guide teams in building modern data solutions using GCP services - DataProc,
Dataflow, DataFusion, Composer/Airflow, PubSub
Define and guide teams in implementing production data pipelines (ingestion
to consumption) for Cloud EDW
Manage storage/compute costs and participate in improving data pipelines to
reduce cost
Define approach for Migrating data from legacy systems such as Oracle
Actively participate in defining and initiating Enterprise Data Governance
and implementation
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science
GCP certification as Data Engineer or Cloud Architect preferred
Overall 10+ years of experience in EDW/Data/BI field and 3+ years experience
architecting and implementing next-gen data and analytics platforms on cloud
(AWS, Azure, Snowflake, GCP)
Excellent understanding of technical aspects of data warehouse and database
systems
Deep understanding of modern cloud EDW/ETL/Data tools
Strong experience with enterprise security protocols and best practices
around data Security
Ability to assess risk of technical changes and provide data-driven solutions
