About the Role:

GenderCool’s Corporate Sponsor Manager is responsible for corporate sponsor research, prospecting, selling, post-sale satisfaction, and renewals. The role includes associated database management for prospective and existing corporate sponsors. The Corporate Sponsor Manager should have a desire to be part of a groundbreaking nonprofit fueled by the young people ages 12 and up whom we call the GenderCool Champions. The ideal Corporate Sponsor Manager will be experienced, extroverted, goal-oriented, and a self-starter.

The primary job responsibilities of this role include:

Corporate Sponsorship Development & Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for identifying, soliciting, and securing new corporate sponsors.
  • Manage all aspects of the sponsorship lifecycle, including initial outreach via LinkedIn, email, phone, and in-person meetings.

Account Management

  • Proactively manage and resolve issues, ensuring sponsor satisfaction and exploring opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.

CRM and Database Management

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the customer relationship management (CRM) system.

Research and Intelligence Gathering

  • Conduct research on current and potential corporate sponsors.

Event Planning and Execution

  • Collaborate with appropriate team members to plan and execute events.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in corporate sponsor or partner management, business development, or corporate fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit environment
  • Proven track record of securing sponsorships and managing corporate relationships
  • Understanding of the LGTBQ+ community, specifically the transgender and/or nonbinary community
  • Proven ability to work remotely
  • Must be able to travel out of state 3-6 times a year on average
  • This remote position is open to candidates in the Eastern, Central, and Mountain time zones in the US.

  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Raiser's Edge NXT or similar sales databases
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to connect respectfully and work with transgender and nonbinary youth ages 12 and up, and their parents
  • Able to work cross-departmentally
  • Proficient at de-escalation, retaining perspective, and avoiding excessive drama
  • Adaptable - able to work/operate on the fly under rapidly changing circumstances
  • Being persistent without being perceived as pestering
  • Experience with event planning or management a plus
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (or similar)

Role Parameters:

  • Remote full-time employee
  • $58,000-$62,000 annual salary


GenderCool offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, a dependent care FSA, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and a 401K. Employees starting at GenderCool will receive 2 weeks of sick leave and 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO) per year, as well as 12 Federal holidays.
