The Wilma Theater seeks a Marketing and Communications Assistant.

The Wilma Theater creates living, adventurous art, presenting bold, original,

The Marketing and Communications Assistant will contribute meaningfully to
the organizational culture of the Wilma and will advocate to advance our
values on an organizational, local, and national scale. This person will take
part in cross-departmental work, company-wide EDI work and anti-bias training
as we further our commitment to being an inclusive, anti-racist organization.

Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Assistant supports the Marketing Department
in creating relationships with groups, patrons, influencers, businesses, and
press to deliver results-driven marketing outreach. The Marketing Assistant
will be a vital part of the Wilma’s marketing team.
The ideal candidate has a background in marketing and community outreach, a
working knowledge of PR concepts and best practices; and experience creating
social media content for an institution. Demonstrated passion for theater
preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities
- Participate in creative campaign planning sessions with the Wilma Marketing
team and leadership;
- Assisting with the organization and execution of various media, PR, and
influencer outreach;
- Maintaining the PR database, documenting media coverage, and tracking PR
metrics;
- Managing PR materials, filing, copying, and performing other clerical
tasks;
- Managing calendars and media lists;
- Research and contact suitable networks and groups relevant to an individual
production to set up promotions and offers;
- Coordinate group sales outreach; 
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients,
stakeholders, media, and vendors;
- Reaching out to local businesses for partnerships and deals for our
subscribers and patrons;
- Creating social media content, and coordinating takeovers;
- Manage reciprocal marketing swaps with other theatres and organizations in
accordance with our data protection and Privacy policies;
- Other assistance with outreach, marketing, and front of house as needed.

Location Requirements
Limited travel between the Wilma Theater on 265 S. Broad Street and the
rehearsal studio space within the Philadelphia city limits.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt role with compensation in the range of
$38,000-$40,000.
Benefits include 85% payment of toward group health plan including vision,
dental insurance, life insurance,  generous paid time off, 403(b) retirement
plan, employee assistance program, and other benefits such as complimentary
tickets to Wilma productions, parking discount, and paid holidays.

Hybrid Work Environment
Due to Covid-19, much of the Wilma administrative staff is conducted in a
hybrid environment of remote and in-person work, dependent upon role function
and responsibilities.  In consultation with your supervisor, it may be
determined that some administrative aspects of your role may be performed
remotely.

Some night and weekend work will be required.

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy
The Wilma Theater requires all employees, whose work requires their physical
presence on-site at spaces managed and operated by The Wilma Theater to be
fully vaccinated and up to date with the Pfizer or Moderna (bivalent) booster
for COVID-19. Being “fully vaccinated” and “up to date” means that an
individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized
COVID-19 vaccine and booster regimen.

In order to be qualified for employment at the Wilma Theater, final
candidates must comply with the vaccination requirement or receive an
approved exemption. Exceptions to this policy include:
- Employees who do not report to a workplace where other individuals (such as
coworkers or customers) are present
- Employees who are working exclusively from home/remote environment
- Employees who have a documented and approved medical or religious
exemption.
