The Director of<br />\r\n Communications also works with the Executive Director to direct and support<br />\r\n their communications, visibility, and outreach efforts. The Director of<br />\r\n Communications oversees execution of internal communications strategies and<br />\r\n programs to help build culture, inspire, and motivate staff and facilitate<br />\r\n healthy organizational change management. This individual is also responsible<br />\r\n for leading crisis communications planning and preparedness planning to<br />\r\n protect MPJI’s brand and reputation and that of our partners as necessary.<br />\r\n <br />\r\n Communications Strategy<br />\r\n • Develop & maintain MPJI’s overall communications strategy, including<br />\r\n setting key goals, identifying & refining key target audiences, and setting<br />\r\n objectives for each of the communications, marketing, and PR functions to<br />\r\n work towards.<br />\r\n • Develop & maintain MPJI’s integrated communications, marketing, and PR<br />\r\n plan, a coherent and consistent set of Executive Director ordinated<br />\r\n activities across each of the communications, marketing, and PR functions<br />\r\n aimed at delivering on the overall communications strategy.<br />\r\n • Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure that this strategy and<br />\r\n plan are aligned with MPJI’s overall strategy, vision, mission, and<br />\r\n approach.<br />\r\n • Work closely with the Executive Director to support the goals and<br />\r\n objectives set forth by the Board of Directors.<br />\r\n <br />\r\n Communications<br />\r\n • Maintain the MPJI brand, including its visual identity, verbal identity,<br />\r\n narrative, & positioning on key issues, and key themes to focus on.<br />\r\n • Develop strategies and tactics to build MPJI’s profile with MPJI’s<br />\r\n key target audiences and priority partners.<br />\r\n • Develop & maintain MPJI’s content strategy for owned communication<br />\r\n channels, including our website, newsletter, social media, and other channels<br />\r\n as needed.<br />\r\n • Identify and assess opportunities for new owned communications channels<br />\r\n (e.g., new social media channels, new newsletters, etc.) and work with key<br />\r\n team members to implement new channels as needed.<br />\r\n • Develop & maintain MPJI’s thought leadership strategy & plan, including<br />\r\n working with MPJI’s senior leadership team to identify thought leadership<br />\r\n opportunities in their areas of expertise, setting an overall thought<br />\r\n leadership publication schedule, and managing the development of thought<br />\r\n leadership content.
