Crust is a specialty, vegan bakery in the NW Philadelphia neighborhood of
Manayunk. Our storefront is located at 4409 Main St., Philadelphia, PA 19127

We are a small & rapidly growing business. You will have the opportunity to

While the workload can be heavy, we try to balance that out with a supportive
& fun work environment - and delicious pastries!

Pay rate, Healthcare, and PTO:

Base pay starts at $15/hr with a raise within the first three months based on
experience and performance in the role. Upon hire all employees also receive
tip outs which are split equally among all staff based on the number of hours
worked. Currently, tips average an additional $1.50 - $3/hr. All employees
receive access to a free telehealth plan after the probationary period, and
there is a full health insurance option available for purchase upon hire.
After our 6 month probationary period, all employees receive 40 hours of PTO
and an additional 40 hours of Sick Time annually. The amount of PTO increases
at a rate of 1 day/year with a maximum accrual of 80 hours annually.

“But do I have to be vegan to work here?”:

While we do not require our staff to be vegan, since we are a kosher
certified kitchen and bakery, all meals brought to eat at work must be vegan.

Duties include:

Assisting customers

Cleaning & Dishwashing

Stocking

Baking

Conducting and Maintaining Inventories

Requirements:

A “can do” attitude and hustle!

Willingness to learn!

The ability to maintain a professional, polite, and helpful manner even when
you’d much rather not!

The ability to take and keep inventory

This role asks that you:

Be willing to work weekends and holidays

Have hustle and a can-do attitude

Have enthusiasm for talking to and helping customers

Follow directions, be detail oriented, and communicate

Keep a clean & organized work-station

Practice proper food handling procedures (Have or be willing to obtain
ServeSafe certification)

Are able to stand & work on your feet for extended periods of time

Are able to lift 25 pounds

Follow Crust Vegan Bakery’s policies and procedures.

Previous customer service experience, a plus.

Servsafe certified, a plus.

If you are not Servsafe certified, Crust will pay for you to take the course
to obtain your certification on a day when you are already scheduled to work
and will provide access to a computer if needed.
