Responsibilities:

• Research and identify grant opportunities, write compelling grant proposals, and submit timely reports as required.
• Utilize expertise in Raisers Edge NXT/BlackBaud to manage donor database effectively and ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Cultivate a plan for major donors, maintaining regular communication and providing stewardship to enhance donor engagement and retention.
• Assist in planning and executing fundraising events or campaigns as needed.
• Provide support to the Senior Director of Operations and Programs on various development-related tasks.
• Collaborate with the Development Associate to plan and execute fundraising strategies.
• Direct solicitations through phone banking, email campaigns, and digital fundraising initiatives.
• Ensure progress towards goals in organization’s fundraising strategy

Requirements:

• Five or more years in non-profit fundraising.
• Proven experience in grant writing and reporting, with a track record of securing funding from foundations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and professional experience required.
• Experience in and knowledge of the LGBTQ+ space
• Proficiency and demonstrated skill in Raisers Edge NXT/BlackBaud
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with donors.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to successfully and effectively work remotely.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Passion for our mission and dedication to making a difference.
• Must be located in Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones.
• Must be able to travel if required.

Role Parameters

• Remote
• 20-30 hours per week
• Approx. $40/hr
• Ideal start date: April 2024

Contract Details:

This position is a contractor role with a commitment of 3 months at 20-30 hrs per week, with the possibility of extension up to 9 months based on organizational needs and performance. This is a contractor role and not a full- or part- time position.
